WorldPay was first established in 1993 as an e-payment processing system and trialed an Electronic Cash purse in Europe. In 1994, WorldPay’s first shop featuring secure transaction processing was opened.

WorldPay In 2002, WorldPay became a wholly-owned part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. WorldPay’s offices include UK, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France and Munich.

Throughout the years WorldPay has developed technologies to increase the security and ease of online payments. Such advancements include multi-currency capabilities, multi-lingual call centers and advanced security technologies.
